UNBOUND

The upcoming edition of Unbound continues our tradition of seamlessly merging performance art, music, and the intricate beauty of Shibari. As always, we aim to open your mind to new states of being, with each floor offering a unique sonic journey that harmonizes with the physicality of the art form we celebrate.

On the main floor, you’ll be enveloped by both driving hypnotic and industrial techno, setting the stage for a visceral experience that resonates with the raw energy of our performances. It is here that sound, movement, and rope intertwine, tracing the vivid life of the body as it moves through ancient instincts and contemporary rhythms.
The performances set the stage for our extraordinary guest, Hajime Kinoko, who will be delivering a unique multi-person aerial spectacle, right in the middle of the floor. Ryuji Takeuchi will be making a special return to Tokyo, breaking away from his international appearances. He is a Japanese answer to industrial techno, driving techno that flows rather than jars the dancefloor. DJ Yazi will be taking center stage, a stalwart who delivers some of Tokyo’s heaviest hypnotic experiences. Kojiro, one of the main figures behind Unbound and organizer of some of the best underground parties in Tokyo will be
doing a live set with Phillipe Esling, avant-garde AI reseracher who constructs instruments. SuperUser will be setting the stage with an eclectic blend of hypnotic techno and his ever-present broken UK sound. This is the first that an artwork of this scale has been created in a club setting.

On the 1st floor, the new wave techno collective Traffic Jam will channel the primal essence of deep, psychedelic, and untamed soundscapes, while emerging DJs from both Japan and abroad ignite the dancefloor in a surge of boundless energy. Meanwhile, on the 4th floor, PEAKING, born from the mystical ethos of the LiQUiD festival, will transcend the ordinary, weaving together music and light to craft a celestial sanctuary where sound becomes the bridge between the earthly and the sublime.

Unbound’s forthcoming chapter, themed "PREHISTORY," will unfold on Friday, October 4th at Shibuya Womb. More than 40 artists will explore the vivid embodiment of the human form, tracing a journey from the primal silence of prehistory to the rhythms of the modern age. As always, we are more than just a party. This is a space where high-art and underground culture converge, offering a new way to experience Shibari—a dance of the body and mind within a communal environment that prioritizes connection over isolation.
