カッティングエッジなエレクトロニックミュージックフェスティバルruralから1週間後にあたるこの日、3人の出演者が長野の山頂から渋谷の地下へと会場を移し、クラブ仕様のスペシャルなセットを披露する。
Studio Xに登場するのは、フェスティバルの開けた環境とクラブの没入環境のどちらにも対応する陶酔サウンドを繰り広げるDjrumだ。00年代中盤以来、イギリスを拠点にプロデューサーとして独自の路線で多才ぶりを発揮してきた彼のDNAには、ガラージ/ブレイクビーツ/テクノのほか、カテゴライズしにくいサウンドが組み込まれている。制作スキルだけでなく、モダンなエレクトロニックミュージックをターンテーブリズムを交えてダンスフロアに投下する強烈なDJセットでも各地でファンが増加中だ。昨年の来日公演でも突出した個性を発揮していたディープなDJセットを体験していない人は、Contactに再登場となるこの嬉しい機会を決して見逃さないでほしい。
そしてContactフロアには、SolarとInterstellar FunkがスペシャルB2Bセットで登場！ サンフランシスコの人気野外イベントSunset Campoutを主宰するSolarと、〈L.I.E.S.〉や〈Safe Trip〉などからリリースを重ね、セルフレーベル〈Artificial Dance〉を手がけるInterstellar Funkという豪華なカップリングは、まさに垂涎もの。エレクトロ/アシッド/テクノをはじめとした粗くワイルドなサウンドでダンスフロアをアツく扇動する！


「An array of bassweight sounds and electro pulses in the wake of Rural」

Following a weekend of cutting edge electronic music at the annual Rural festival, Contact invites some of the line-up highlights to play special club sets.
Djrum has a sound that suits both festival settings and immersive club spaces. The versatile UK-based producer has carved out his own path since first emerging in the mid-00s. He’s confidently embraced hints of garage, breakbeat, techno and other less identifiable sounds into his DNA. As well as his considerable technical prowess in the studio, on the decks he applies classic turntablism moves to contemporary electronic music with devastating results. This didn’t go unnoticed when he appeared at Contact last year, so we’re thrilled to welcome him back.
On the Contact floor, we’re very happy to host a special back-to back session from Solar and Interstellar Funk. Solar is a founder of Sunset Campout – one of the best-loved parties in San Francisco. Interstellar Funk is the Dutch producer responsible for the Artificial Dance label and releases on L.I.E.S, Safe Trip and more. You can expect this pairing to happily launch into rough and ready electro, acid, techno and other fist-shaking sounds when they step up to the plate together.
